SHEMIM® (“SHEMIM”, “we”, “us”) operates shemim.org. This policy explains what personal data the site processes and why.
Data controller. SHEMIM, New York, USA. Contact: mail [at] shemim.org.
What we collect and why
- Messages you send us. When you use the contact or join form, we collect the name, email address, and message you provide (plus any optional fields). We use these solely to respond to you and to evaluate collaboration interest. Legal basis: your consent and steps taken at your request.
- Site analytics. With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 (via Google Tag Manager) to understand how the site is used: pages viewed, approximate (IP-derived, anonymized) location, device and browser type. We do not use analytics for advertising or cross-site tracking. Legal basis: consent.
- Security and delivery. Our host, Cloudflare, processes your IP address and request metadata to deliver the site over its CDN and protect it from abuse (including the Turnstile bot check on forms). Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a secure, available site.
We do not run advertising, remarketing, social-media tracking pixels, or sell personal data.
Processors and third parties
- Cloudflare, Inc.: hosting, content delivery, security, and Turnstile bot mitigation (United States).
- Google LLC: Analytics 4 and Tag Manager, loaded only after consent (United States / Ireland).
- Google Forms: form submissions are delivered to a Google account we control so we can read and reply.
Where data is processed in the United States, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses) where required.
Retention
We keep form messages for as long as needed to handle your inquiry and any resulting relationship, then delete them. Analytics data follows Google Analytics’ retention setting (no longer than 14 months).
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your data; to data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time. EU/EEA/UK users may lodge a complaint with their data protection authority; US-state residents (e.g. California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas and others) have rights to access, correct, delete, and obtain a copy of their data, and to opt out of any sale or sharing (we do neither). To exercise any right, email mail [at] shemim.org.
Changes
We will post any updates here with a revised “Last updated” date.
